OUR FOUNDATION

It’s no secret that the spaces we inhabit profoundly influence how we live and work. While great design should be within everyone’s reach, it often feels unattainable due to fragmented resources and a lack of understanding about what’s truly possible.

That’s why we founded Atelier Clem. Our mission is simple – use accessible, full-service design & advisory services to help you  get the most from your living and working environment. We believe in designing for impact, always putting people first, and striving to leave every space better than we found it.

Since 2022, Atelier Clem has been a dedicated partner, guiding developers, homeowners, and business owners through design and construction. We’re committed to crafting spaces that truly resonate with your vision, ensuring a seamless and supported experience from the initial concept to the final flourish.

CLEMENTINE DUBOURDIEU

Founder, Managing partner

Architect, Wife

Born and raised in Paris, France, I spent my early twenties in Europe before relocating to the USA right after graduating with my Masters in Architecture. Starting in Boston for  five and half years,  I moved to Chicago in 2017 where I have been based ever since.

Licensed since 2022 and with a decade of experience in the design industry (including five years at Gensler and two and half years at Tishman Speyer where I was a Director of Design and Construction), I’ve worked on a diverse range of projects, from hospitals and offices to restaurants and residential spaces. My time in the industry has honed my technical and design skills and allowed me to collaborate with talented professionals.

I founded Atelier Clem in 2022 to keep my design practice and passion thriving. My goal is to be a true facilitator, bridging all aspects of design and construction.

SAM DAVISON

Project Executive, Partner

Architect, Husband

Born and raised outside of Philadelphia, I moved to Chicago in 2016. Before becoming a licensed architect, I started in the field as a general contractor. From there, I transitioned into architecture for the next five years and then dove into project management for the past six. This diverse journey has given me a holistic understanding of real estate and a wide range of transferable skills.

Over my career, I’ve had a hand in designing and managing over 1 million square feet of space, as well as overseeing $250 million in project costs. My expertise isn’t just broad; it’s deep, covering everything from intricate tenant interiors and dynamic office spaces to inviting hospitality venues and comfortable multi-family residential.

I love using these experiences to help clients get the most out of their real estate!
